Stop playing politics with women’s health

On Tuesday morning, Susan G. Komen Vice President Karen Handel announced she was resigning over last week’s decision to cut funding (and then reinstate it) to Planned Parenthood.

Despite Komen’s attempts to climb out of the massive PR hole they dug for themselves, as recently as yesterday, Mitt Romney decided to bring his own shovel and dig deeper.

The GOP presidential hopeful said, "I also feel that the government should cut off funding to Planned Parenthood. Look, the idea that we're subsidizing an institution which is providing abortion, in my view, is wrong. Planned Parenthood ought to stand on their own feet, and should not get government subsidy."
